Demirören Holding Chairman of the Board Yıldırım Demirören said, “We reached this success with the 100 percent local and national capital principle of our founder and abiding Chairman Mr. Erdoğan Demirören. Milangaz 2019 Dealers Meeting took place with the motto of, “Full throttle ahead!”. Demirören Holding Chairman of the Board Yıldırım Demirören, Demirören Holding Chairman of the Board Deputy Meltem Demirören Oktay, Yıldırım Demirören’s son Demirören Holding Executive Board Member Erdoğan Demirören, Meltem Demirören Oktay’s sons Demirören Holding Executive Board Members Sinan Oktay, Murat Oktay, Executive Board Members Metin Kubat, Koray Yanç and Nejdet Hüddam along with Milangaz dealers participated the meeting organized at a hotel in Şişli. A video in commemoration of the late Demirören Holding Founding Chairman Erdoğan Demirören was displayed at the beginning of the meeting.

Yıldırım Demirören made the opening speech for the program. Demirören started his speech by saying, “I remember Mr. Erdoğan Demirören with mercy and gratitude”. Demirören said, “It is our main principle to keep walking on our path in full cooperation with our organization and esteemed business partners. Demirören Holding has provided value to the country economy for over 60 years, completed dozens of investments providing employment opportunities to thousands of people. “Successes and earnings make us proud of course,” said Yıldırım Demirören, “However, what makes our cooperation more valuable is running to a common goal hand in hand like a family. Demirören'in konuşmasının ardından, Demirören Holding Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi Koray Yanç söz aldı. Yanç, 2018 yılı faaliyet değerlendirmesi yaptığı konuşmasında, "Türkiye'nin 2018 yılında 4 milyon tonun üzerinde tüketimi var. Bunun yaklaşık 725 bin tonu Milangaz. Bunun 391 bin tonu bizim kendi satışlarımız. Bunlar tüp ve otogaz satışları. Ama Türkiye'de akaryakıt sektöründeki ilk 5 firmanın 4'nün tedarikçisi Milangaz'dır. Bunu çoğu insan bilmez. Ama enerji piyasasının ana raporlarında görürseniz Milangaz'ın oradaki 5 büyük tedarikçinin 4'ünün ikmalini yaptığını ve toptan ticaretinde Milangaz Türkiye'de zirvededir, birincidir" şeklinde konuştu.

Demirören Holding Executive Board Member Koray Yanç made a speech after Demirören. Yanç evaluated the 2018 activities in his speech stating as such, "Consumption in Turkey during 2018 has exceeded 4 million tons annually. About 725 thousand tons is Milangaz. Of this total amount, 391 thousand tons are our own sales. These are LPG cylinder and autogas sales. However, Milangaz is also the supplier for 4 out of 5 leading companies in the fuel oil sector in Turkey. Many people do not know this. But if you examine the reports of the energy sector, you will see that Milangaz is the supplier for 4 of the 5 largest companies listed there and that it is the leader in wholesale trade".

After the dealers expressed their ideas and opinions, Yıldırım Demirören made another brief speech. Yıldırım Demirören said, "Mr. Erdoğan had a motto, something we are proud of, '100 percent local capital'. That is why, nothing is better or more natural than all of us looking out for each other. The late Erdoğan taught us this; I and my siblings are now teaching it to our children. If we can earn our daily bread, it is also your bread and so we hold you in high esteem. That is how we grew up. We were introduced to you as our family. And I am now telling the same thing to my children; we will be here for as long as you are there. Today, Demirören Group will continue its struggles against foreigners all the way. We have to look out for each other if we want to survive as one Turkey, one flag, one nation. We have to make use of our own synergies.”
